What We Stand For

At TWP Solutions we take the view that no venture can succeed long term without firm values that underpin their activity.

That is why we operate on the basis that our business aims to support organisations to plan, develop and deliver on their objectives with the aim of creating more inclusive communities.
We recognise that no business has the right to conduct its’ activities without due consideration to the wider community within which it operates.

For this reason TWP Solutions is committed to not only supporting others to create inclusive communities but also:

• Ensuring that across the economic cycle of our activities we will be Carbon Neutral &

• Providing a minimum of 1% of our pre-tax profits to Community Based Initiatives.

Our Community Commitment
Each year we support community activities aligned with our values and aimed at tackling exclusion and promoting opportunities that enable people to overcome their barriers.
Below are examples of what we've supported so far.
During our 2016/17 operating year our support went to organisations local to our office in Ellesmere Port; including:
  • Food donation to West Cheshire Foodbank worth £200
  • Toys to the value of £250 - to the Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust Christmas Toy Appeal - ensuring local kids identified by Social Work received something
  • A donation of £550 to Ellesmere Port Junior Football Club to provide waterproof training jackets to their under 14's team.
During our 2015/16 operating year our donations were very personal to the Directors as the scourge of cancer impacted on our families and as a result we donated £1000 split between:
  • Hospice of the Good Sheppard (Chester)&
  • MacMillan Cancer Support ( Isle of Bute)
In our 2014/15 operating year our support included :
  • West Cheshire Foodbank - on this occasion donating £500 towards a new vehicle to help with distribution &
  • £500 to Lifeline Network to support their work in the fight against Ebola in Sierra Leone
In our 2013/14 operating year we supported Trussell Trust seeded Foodbanks for the first time; as we became increasingly concerned that the government's changes to the benefits system were causing real hardship in communities for both employed and unemployed people.  Our donation of £1000 was split evenly between:
  •   West Cheshire Foodbank &
  •   North Enfield Foodbank in London
Giving young people the opportunity to learn and help consider their future in a word of work is something that we feel passionate about at TWP Solutions and as part of our Community Commitment for 2012/13 we purchased three Primary School and two Young People packs of a fantastic interactive card game called World of Work from Employability Education Charity WorkTree
We donated the five packs (worth over £1000) to three separate education providers
  • St Mary’s RC Primary School in Ellesmere Port
  • The Lifeline Institute – a pioneering alternative school in East London for young people unable to gain or sustain a place in mainstream education &
  • Archers Brook school, which provides for students with extreme behaviour, emotional and social difficulties in the North West
2011/12 saw us support a range of organisations including:
  • £400 donation to Shelter for it's Xmas appeal
  • Donation via the Women in Welfare Sleepout to support the work of Centrepoint  &
  • Funding to provide waterproof training jackets to Ellesmere Port Junior Football Club
A huge volume of our work in 2012 involved developing solutions to support young people who are adversely affected by the economic climate. This resulted in contracts being secured for our clients across the Innovation Fund Round 1, Youth Contract, Innovation Fund Round 2 & Day One Support Trailblazer.

We wanted our Community Support to reflect this success and chose to support UKYouth in providing residential stays for young people at their Avon Tyrrell Activity Centre.
  • Our £1000 donation ensured more young people could benefit from the experience of the Activity Centre.

In our first year of operation 2010/11 our support went to a number of organisations including:
  • £2000 of support to Common Purpose to provide 20 places on their Young Million programme designed to help 18-25 year olds amongst the 1,000,000 NEETS to develop their leadership skills and help prepare them for work &
  • our Sponsorship of the 2011 - Scottish Ethnic Minority Achievement Awards

TWP Solutions is committed to being a Carbon Neutral business

We are committed to evaluating and reducing the emissions our business produces and offsetting residual emissions. We endeavour at all times to use technology to reduce our carbon footprint, including using telephone and video conferencing and making use of public transport options whenever possible.
We have offset our calculated business emissions (including business travel and estimated office usage) at the end of each year since we launched in September 2010, following invaluable advice and support initial from PURE and subsequently Pure Leapfrog.
Pure Leapfrog is a UK registered charity (no 1112249) and was formed from a merger in 2013 of two charities, PURE the Clean Planet Trust and Carbon Leapfrog, who each shared a vision of reducing climate change by supporting community led low carbon projects.
Our donation each year has supported selected Gold Standard carbon reduction projects, which are high quality renewable energy projects that deliver sustainable development, as well as carbon savings.
We are committed to offsetting our carbon emissions every year through our support for Pure Leapfrog projects and we constantly track our carbon footprint in preparation for offsetting at the end of each business year.
